you cant be picky until you know about enough to know what you dont like
you dont know what you dont like because you never watch anything

for instance as a general rule i absolutely hate mecha
but right now i'm watching rahxephon and rather enjoying it "surprise"
picking what you like can only come after you have seen something

if you consider someones taste in art, for instance painting
they can be the most picky art critique ever but thats only because they have seen alot and turn it down afterwards
noone with a respected opinion refuses to look at something, thats not being picky thats just ignorance
being picky stems from a knowlege of what you are choosing which is not what you are dismissing
you are picking something based on others descriptions with no first hand knowledge whatsoever ie. ignorance

nah man they are odd little creatures that say they want something but in reality want something entirely different
when they are drunk is the only time they know exactly what they want
at least from my experience anyways i still stick with my theory until someone points out a flaw in my logic

besides the argument that they are scared to waste 20 minutes
cuz anyone who posts on here about anime as a hobby has 20 min to spare you only really need half that to judge a show honestly
fuck even 3 minutes to watch a trailer, just some first hand experience 2nd hand doesn't count

I know what I like, it's not like i don't try things ... I just throw them in the trash can after first episode if there not EXACTLY what I'm looking for :/
