There is a parallel between the generations; there was Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade, and for the current generation there is Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura. Similarly, the summons types are the same between the generations (Snake/Frog/Slug). The Toad and Snake have changed, but the Slug remains the same.

I think it was just a bad translation, as deadlock seems like a poor choice for a word.

Isnt blood necessary for anyone to summon as well as some sort of solid or physical object(earth, weapon, scroll, etc for them to press on)?

All they are doing to them 10 tails is obviously of little meaning seeing as how madara hasnt tried to protect it once and is only gleefully awaiting his showdown with the 1st. When the 10tails was transforming(btw i do believe it still has a final transformation) to what it currently is and kakashi tried to kamui it obito stopped him with something madara taught him in the flash back.

I mentioned the flashback because madara definitely stated teaching obito that uchiha forcefield shit for such an occasion where the juubi needed to be protected yet he himself hasnt tried to protect the juubi at all as a few clones should be enough to remove the 4 hokages from there summoning spot.

what was the name of orochimaru's snake? sasuke's snake is called Aoda

Manda or Kanda, one of those

It was Manda, the big snake kahuna. He died from Deidara's ultimate bomb jutsu (was it his suicide blast?) when Sasuke genjutsu'd him to act as shield.

didnt a snake also come out from sasuke's body during itachi vs sasuke?

There are numerous snakes in the Naruto world is seems. That was either part of Orochimaru or another summon, as the snake that he used to exist was too small to be Manda.

he didn't die, he was remade by kabuto, into a stronger snake, the snake that sasuke summoned is his own personal snake



i assumed that the snake that came out that fight was a part of orochimaru, but that snake was killed by amaterasu fire, if you recall from that chapter.
