ok so im using a fresh MPC home cinema + a fresh CCCP install

and im watching a 720p anime and it keeps freezing like every 10 seconds and sometimes the colors mess up completly. its unwatchable

im trying to load .ass subs into my .mkv file. It used to work before with tigerplayer but now with mpc it says this?

Ok so Im pretty sure that its the file that is corrupted, so problem solved. my subtitle problem was also solved.

But whenever I use CCCP it lowers the quality of the video. the outlines are less clear (like in a game with less anti-aliazing)

It's not supposed to lower the quality of the video. Try using CCCP beta.

Combined-Community-Codec-Pack-BETA-2009-06-18.exe <-- Try that one

That's the one I'm currently using. It fixed a lot of bugs.

with the older cccp you just had to not use the default settings. It defaults you on VMR7(windowed) usually, but to load subs you have to use VMR7(renderless) or VMR9(renderless). It defaulted down to the least sytem use (assuming you had a old system or a labtop or something).

I found VMR9(renderless) usually resolved any weird quality issues too, but I always play stuff fullscreen.

Hmm... It could be. I usually change it to Haali's Renderer, which is why I've never had issues.
