but the one i mean is interstella 5555. its an anime made by the guys who made Ginga Tetsudou and they made this anime for Daft Punk, does that ring a bell? maybe you are not into this kind of music

Don't worry I know very well what Daft Punk is. yes that's true I most of the time listen to Anime or Video game musics (mostly from RPGs ^^) Chrono cross, Legend of Mana, Valkyrie profile, Grandia, Wild Arms, Tales of Legendia, STAR OCEAN etc.. the golden era of Rpgs for me ...

maybe you know Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu then? this is one of the most famous anime in japan but i think rather unknown in the west

oh Of course, I Know this Anime.. That one is from 1989 If I remember well.

I remember an anime from my brother. The deeper meaning went around a heart in the ground or something.
And it played in the ocean. With some giant animals that are half whale and something else true.
There were also something like mermaids and a gang of sea creatures that were bad and could speak xD.
Maybe you can help me. I think the anime was more from the 90's than the 2000's. He also had a few 3D elements inside
