they're totally different things and in no way even remotely similar so far.

sometimes people can only understand things if they associate it with something else they have seen, poor things.

pretty much, I don't see the main protagonist of Shingeki no Kyojin starring at someone's tits in the first episode.
I'm pretty sure it'll have some deep moments but It'll be surrounded by typical anime bs to be taken seriously. Not saying it'll be bad though. First episode was quite solid, looking forward to more episodes.
