Ep 3 was good, but weird, theres like no rules so they (storywriter/mangaka) can do pretty much whatever they want, doesnt feel as "genius" as you could hope for,

THIS DOESN'T HELP :<

It turned from Chess into a real battle, rules are still there just not chess ones (remember the opponent gets to choose the rules, so she flexed chess into a real battle).

Wonder what'll happen next, seems like she's in a tough position now that her queen is in Shiro's possession (which seems to convert the forces she once led)
so they're kinda on equal grounds but Shiro seems to have more power in forces now.

This battle was just that dumb girl thinking she was smart and then our MC taking advantage of that while relying on luck

/e still enjoying it, shows he's willing to take a bet and trusts his instinct

I kinda agree with this. i like the show and will still watch it, just seems like the kind of story where the game will change with desperation, which to me doesn't really make it a game...

Show is good so far, but Episode 3 was bad. It's the dumbest adaptation of chess in an anime I've ever seen, I just hope this duo can win games in a more logical kind of way instead of throwing every type of games in a single game, just for the sake of connecting with every type of gamers who watches this show, they started it out as a chess game, then it becomes an RTS and ends up as a dating sim, what the fuck is this? it just makes a mess out of the obstacles that lead to the story and any winning streaks could be chalked off as Deus Ex Machina if they keep up with this BS.

Just my opinion, haven't given up on this show just yet.
