Lot more variety in manga from what i've seen. At least in respect to the seinen orientated stuff.
There is more variants in artwork for manga as well that would just wouldn't be the same if adapted into an anime.
In the end though, personal preference.

edit: I would compare anime vs manga to like xbox and ps3 exclusive games. Some things i just gotta read and others I have to watch if i wish to enjoy the good of both worlds.

but who was social life
but who was job
but who was exercise/athletics
but who was other hobbies
but who was interaction with the opposite sex
but who was errands

manga > anime, everytime.
