i myself dont read manga and i would never read it, probably because i dont like books.
they're boring -> no action -> no fun

many people knew SAO from the manga, means they enjoyed it 1/2 since they already knew everything what was gonna happen.
i enjoyed those 1-13 episodes too much though every week when it was released something happend which i could've never guessed
SAO animated -> action -> heart racing -> excited -> awesome. :drool:

I pretty much only read harem, comedy, romance manga and they go deeper into the story than most animes, so I read em.
