That's a super good point. I was actually just looking at my list and seeing what all came out in the 80s-90s that I've watched, and it's mostly well known stuff. I guess I personally wasn't exposed to the "bad" from then, but I'm sure there's plenty..



Subjectivity, what even is it.

Ridiculous plot progression, awkwardly questionable pacing and inconsistent character writing are valid criticisms that all but the most ignorant fanboys wouldn't just pass off as "SUBJECTIVEZ HATREDZ".

Of course, liking bad anime is totally fine too and I admit that I was entertained by some of the mentioned shows, but refusing to accept the flaws of a anime just because it was entertaining isn't too admirable.

I did not like the animated versions of darker than black, elfen lied or Angel beats. They suck.

I read like 10 chapters of the yu gi oh manga and it had no trading card monsters past like the 3rd chapter ROFL. Funny how that works(Fuck you anime script writers).

E: The last 2 episodes of berserk are probably the most revolting I've ever watched. I mean, it was just a constant of people getting eaten(people that have a solid story background behind them) and the main characters girl getting raped and eaten and other stuff. That should count as strong emotion lol.

i tried to watch elfen lied, stopped at the second episode since it was so shit

people aren't as interested in manga because the format sucks, the comic strip style is outdated

i cant get myself to read mangas. idk why. but i liked elfen lied so much that i might have to do it
