most anime are made out of mangas just some are adapted from games

there are many mangas i read because there isnt an anime out yet :O

It's like books vs. movies. I prefer manga for depth and storyline but anime has better fight /action scenes. You won't find much filler in manga though :p

manga if i'm pressed for time.
anime if i feel like indulging myself and spending a couple hours watching something.
I would have to say anime however cause its more of a luxury.

I generally start out watching the anime then reading the manga of the anime to compare and contrast.
