I'd try the episode where he goes berserk and almost kills everyone until Eris calms him down finally. I think that's around the middle of the series. Otherwise, as Foresight said, I'd try the first couple eps.

The story and episode I'm looking for within that is..

One character has been alone for such a long time... Then he somehow "gets" a friend from somewhere...  I think there was a certain amount of time he could have his friend before he disappeared... In the end he was lonelier than ever and wished that he had never wished for that friend to being with.
