haha, nostalgia does that. Same thing happened to me with the Super Butoden games I mentioned before, I downloaded them to play on my emultor a couple of years back and they were a lot worse than I remembered
Ever since the days of Heidi, Marco and Mitsubachi Maya anime has always aired here on many tv channels, but the business has been going downhill these last few years. It's a shame, although I'm no longer interested in dubs anyway.
