I'll start of by saying CR/netflix/etc aren't available in my country and that I don't have the money to spend on buying anime. If I did, I could I would support any site that offered subbed anime in decent quality.
Now about anime dying, I wouldn't take it that far. Half of the top 30 anime on MAL has been produced during the last 5 years, and quite a few of those have been produced during the last two, so people are still getting what they want. Also, anime hasn't been profitable ever since Astroboy came out; it's had it's ups and it's downs, like every other business. The western cartoon business also had it's hard times around the late 70's and 80s, the industry was really a lot closer to "dead" than anime is right now, but then came the What A Cartoon! project and it revitalized the whole industry, making it so profitable that channels that broadcasted cartoons 24/7 started to emerge. Same thing has happened to Hollywood movies and TV shows a few times along their history. I'm no expert on this, but afaik after the european and latinamerican market helped anime grow during the late 70s to the early 90s, the industry fell into a crisis during the second half of the 90s which forced the companies to come up with crap sequels to some of the shows that had been most profitable in earlier years (DBGT for example) to make some profit. When they started to expand their market to the US, they came out of that crisis and the industry grew again... but this was over a decade ago so it would only be natural if they fell into another crisis soon. And later it will rise again, because like the video says, there will always be otakus that will keep anime from dying completely and eventually someone will come up with something brilliant to revitalize the industry.
