ehh I don't think you should worry too much about it. I started watching anime when I was 11, not talking about pokemon and dbz cuz those shows are mostly for kids. But I wouldn't worry too much about him watching anime. Anime does have bad scenes, but a lot of them actually have meaning in them and I would really hate it if my mom/dad would have stopped me from watching anime when I was 11. Life just wouldn't be the same. So yeah you should let him watch anime, hop in his room a couple times and if an uncomfortable scene comes on, you should really just let him watch it and walk away because if you don't, then he will find ways to hide scenes like that and will continue to do that.
