-Voices generally suck or sound unnatural
-They sometimes change the original soundtrack
-Sometimes they change things pointlessly during the translation (which is why I hate the US DBZ dub)
-Some dubs are censored
-Anime, like movies, is art. There's not much point in admiring art if you whatever the original artist has done has been changed. Any movie, show, anime or whatever is best viewed in it's original language with subtitles, no matter how good the dub is.

But dubs aren't always bad. Some countries have a long tradition of dubbing anime and are really good at it... but still, subs are always closer to the original thing, so that's the way to go.

Ahh yeah the first Initial D dub didn't have the original soundtrack which made it unwatchable for me.

I myself have watched anime subbed, dubbed english, and dubbed spanish.
Spanish has a lot of good dubs.

Mexican spanish dubs are generally good, spanish from Spain is generally bad.

In general, the best dubs I've seen are in... catalan :o

Yeah, even though the language is only spoken in a region of Spain, they've been dubbing anime since the 70s and anime is really popular there (most anime conventions in Spain are at Barcelona); their dubbing studios have a lot of reputation, and they scout voice actors all over catalan speaking regions. In fact most of the anime translated to spanish (and some other european languages) is translated from catalan rather than directly from the original japanese version, since it's traditionally one of the areas were anime is first exported to.

From what I've seen, brazilian and french are pretty good too.

Funimation does alot of the dubbing, and I like them
I really don't think they pick a random person, and they choose specific people.

While some actors do A LOT of voices, they still match fine to me.
Watching Berserk now, nothing seems out of place IMO

From the start you've been stating your opinion, it's yours keep it that way don't try to implant it in somone else.

Lock this shit please.
