That's an extremely interesting point. If he wanted to kill Sasuke or something, he could do it with the hokages at his disposal. Then again, it doesn't appear that he can control Hashirama as well, so the latter might turn on Oro or something. But from the looks of it, Orochimaru has genuine interest in supporting Sasuke.

Still going to be extremely upset if Naruto and Sasuke don't end up fighting.

I assume people think sasuke will turn good due to him saying he wont let the village perish like some afterthought.

I am pretty sure he only means that if madara is left to his own devices he will achieve something that would make him(sasuke) destroying the village null and void seeing as how the world would be created to madaras likening.

sasuke stopping another villain who if successful destroys any hope for sasuke to achieve his own goals makes alot of sense. destroy the village which prolly has some sort of defense and then be to late to stop madara.

Now of course sasuke took his time and heard the hokages out which is time consuming as well and maybe sasuke even thinks his own ems would stop the juubi powered ems who knows. I really dont think sasukes decision to stop madara hinders or compromises his own goals but only enhances them or does nothing at all to hinder them.

Now itachi saying every jutsu has a weakness, would infinite tsukiyomi weakness be madaras lifespan lol? No other creature can muster the chakra needed to infuse another sharingan with enough power to stop this and i assume a regular ems may only allow the user to have his own will in the dream world but not escape it who knows.

I know most people are expecting an epic battle between Naruto and Sasuke, and one to be fought much like Hashirama and Madara. People are expecting there to be a parallel because of how the manga has been shaping up, but it might not happen.

The emphasis of the anime has been on a new generation, and that generation is going to pass on the Will of Fire, or perhaps, to pass the torch to light a pathway to something better. There was a lot brewing inside of Sasuke, but there was nothing inherently bad about him from the beginning. There was an obsession that was built on pain and anguish, and his behavior might not be so removed from what actually happens in war-torn countries.

It has been revealed that mistakes have been made, and the Hokages have voiced this. Despite the nature of being a shinobi in troubling times, there were ninja that would lay down their lives for the sake of the village. Sasuke recognized that Danza did whatever he could for the village to his last breath; he recognized the sacrifices made by his brothers, and Madara’s brothers explicitly.
I believe this new information, the interactions with the kages and Itachi, have changed him, or at least troubled his desire for revenge. I think Naruto and his power to touch people might be able to reach him. Destroying the village is not going do justice to the injustice, it would defeat the sacrifices make, and nor will it create a better future. A better future is going to start by make changes, and ending these conflicts.
This is an opportunity for major changes to happen in the manga, as these characters are about to face the toughest battle of them all.

we all know sasuke has secret plan inside him and wil help get rid of madara for his own means. and in the end we will see naruto vs sasuke

That's the thing. I, personally, do not know what to make of Sasuke's intentions after that chapter. Maybe he's still not a good guy or anything, but really the only thing making him bad was his desire to destroy the Leaf village. Now that he wants to fight to protect it, it doesn't look like he's evil anymore. I hope to Allah that he has some ulterior motives.

I think obito had some plans in mind for sasuke other than throwing him at naruto
