Rereading One Piece ^^, I have a new liking for the Skypiea arc (first time I read through One Piece two years or so ago I didn't like it much at all), I'm on the Water 7 arc now, epic stuff, and I had actually completely forgot about Iceberg being betrayed by the CP9 so it was just as exciting to read it this time around.

And you are one of many who were turned off by the beginning of the series (because the author grew with the series as well..hes still pretty young) and realized the greatness of the later arcs.

My favorite arc to this still is still the sand (alabasta) arc....The first time he introduced a powerful drama driven plot with a villain who completely outmatched luffy in every way (theoretically, ofc)

It was an evolution for the series as a whole, imo. It really shows how the crew can work together in a situation like that.

but enough of my rambling. Glad to hear you liked it...

I actually loved the beginning (have several years of English Shonen Jump :P) but for some reason the Skypeia arc just killed me the first time around. Water 7 is killing me in a different way (my emotions) it's my favorite arc.

I have a question actually, do you think it's worth it to read it weekly once I catch up (in 2 days or so) or continue doing what I have been, rereading the manga every year or so with all the new chapters that came out during that time? The suspense waiting for weekly releases might kill me or save me...

And don't worry about the rambling :P I've read much longer posts then this one involving manga ^^

the guy who made UXU is making hentai out of his own characters instead of new chapters.

If you can manage to resist reading it for an entire year I commend you...but if you read it weekly, you can participate in my one piece discussion thread w/o fear of spoilers!

Oh true ^^ Well I'll see what kind of mood I'm in when I get all caught up. I've been meaning to start hunterxhunter, restart my Claymore reading (also about a year on hold), and several other manga that I really want to read, but aren't because they aren't done.

Hunter x hunter is legendary...I really loved it, I think at one point I liked it more than one piece....it had so much potential....but I think it took too many wrong turns. Its still a great manga, but with the health issues the author constantly has, I have kind of lost hope for the manga.

and man, today is a long day of work. I'm going to be here till like 9 or 10...put off too much stuff the past few days.

at least I got a comfy chair and brought my own laptop to help ease the boredom every now and then...

need some recommendations again :) here are some mangas I really enjoyed reading:

eden
20th century boys
shamo
blade of the immortal
battle angel alita
berserk
claymore
bakuman (i guess this is an exception)
bastard!!
beck
liars game

i'm not sure if there is anything worth reading anymore kinda.. i hate romance (got enough to think about in real life in this point -.-) or childish mangas.

thanks!
