Thought Hokages couldn't be brought back?

itachi said their was a counter to any jutsu you can take that to mean their is a counter to anything whether anyone knows it or not

oro said you slice open his belly to break the seal but however i do believe normally you are sacrificed but that is where the mask comes in

either way this was nicely done imo and whether you like the explanation or not its fact....

also something of note i am guessing had any of the hokages been alive 3rd or 4th they would have passed on this knowledge or at least part of it to tsunade, depending on if they each know a part of it or each know all of it.

Im guessing they each know a part of it though now that i part more thought into this otherwise it would require all 4 of them being resurrected. what could possibly happen though is the second maybe getting out of it the same way madara(of course this is if he even knows about this counter) did but of course with an explanation why he didnt do it the first time.

When it was cut open, like a bag of water, the souls poured out and returned to the afterlife, then Orochimaru could use Edo Tensei to bring their souls back from the afterlife like Kabuto did all the souls in the war
