As of the last chapter it would seem madara needs obito but if you think about it rationally madara has the upper hand in that he doesnt need obito but just the rinnegan and a ninja he can manipulate. time doesnt affect madara so once he secures the rinnegan either his own or coach sasuke or hell wait however long he wants for the genetic mutation to happen again lol.

Hrm raikage uses ninjutsu to enhance his taijutsu, tsunade uses chakra i believe, so does naruto. so that leaves maito gai/rock lee as the strongest physical peeps doesnt it. I mean with the rinnegan he can absorb the lightning from raikage tsunade is slow as shit narutos nature chakra can be absorbed and unlike pain madara should know how to deal with it. along with neji's death come on TEAM GAI GOING KONOHA BEAUTIFUL BEAST!
