thanks a lot for poking your damn f’king stick into a beehive and rattling it around!!
the following is the latest post from the breaker artist.
someone claiming to be a scanlator of the breaker apparently emailed the breaker artist, asking for permission to translate / host the breaker on foreign sites.
upon reading the email, the artist says that this was the first time ever that he had felt so angry and worn-out. the manhwa market in korea being what it is, he had still believed that as long as he kept working hard with love for his work, he’d survive and be able to make a living in these hard times. but after reading that email, he felt so drained of energy and drive.
he’s been deliberately trying to ignore and trying to avoid making any references to p2p or foreign distribution, but this email comes and asks for permission to do exactly what he doesn’t want, and, on top of that, some detailed explanation as to what’s going on, so that foreign readers could understand.
he says this is too much, that it’s gone too far.
he asks that people refrain from contacting or commenting on his blog with insensitive/tactless words, like how they dl-ed his work, or borrowed it from somewhere, or that they don’t like his work. PLEASE!!
all i will say is this:
the a-team was not the ones who contacted the artist. the only korean who translates breaker in our team would be me, and i certainly did not email him. however well-intended this attempt may have been, it was foolhardy and extremely naive. this was exactly the sort of response we all predicted if someone were to have emailed the artist.
another thing: for the artist to say that he’d rather be ignorant than be bothered by knowing / being contacted about this whole thing, says a lot. has this reached a breaking point? or some turning point?
whatever it is, my last words in this post are for the idiot who emailed the artist:
i’d just like to offer a shitload of thanks (note the sarcasm, a-hole!) for what you’ve done. very smart. *standing ovation*

As I’ve said before, we’ll continue doing the Breaker until we get an official request from the artist or publishers to stop.
at that point, we WILL stop all work on the breaker and it’ll be dropped.
we’ve already stopped using paying filehosts to distribute the manwha, asked online readers not to host it, and withdrawn our permission to use our translations for foreign releases.
How it pans out now remains to be seen.
