So sad to see the story get explained like this. But whatever, I'm still a fan.
It does suck because Naruto never really felt like one of those "because it is" stories. What I mean by that is that they always had good explanation in terms of characters' abilities and the events that occurred. DBZ is one of those "because it is" animes. Why was Gohan able to overpower Cell with only one arm? He just was. Why were the power levels of every character adjusted so conveniently each time a new villain came across? They just were.
Bleach is another example. Byakuya, for example, loses to Ichigo on the first day the latter gets his bankai, and doesn't really know how to use it all that well. Yet, somehow, Byakuya is able to almost effortlessly defeat 2 Espada, something that Ichigo had serious problems doing even after a supposed huge powerup with the mask. Why? Because he just was.
Naruto usually provided us with explanations for things like this. As of late, not at all. Kakashi can now endlessly spam his MS. Madara pulls the final Susanoo out and it's nowhere near anything that resembles impactful, where it really could have been with the right context.
