Hmm, here's something I've pondered. If Madara gave Nagato his rinnegan, did his sharingan powers disappear in the process? Nagato never used them, he just always had the rinnegan activated. Wouldn't the entire power of his eyes have theoretically been transfered to Nagato, including the Sharingan? I'm guessing there's some technicality.

He went straight to rinnegan iirc from his story. He's an uzumaki who i believe are cousins to senju so maybe the sharingan can be considered different still i also recall someone(manga character) mentioning the "3" great ocular jutsus so that too shows they are separate in a way. jairaiya was there for the awakening and unless negato is the mangas greatest actor he seemed to have no clue about the rinnegan himself so maybe he was just someone compatible with the rinnegan. either way im lead to believe its because he's not a uchiha. I thought the 6 bodies was only possible through rinnegan but with tobi putting the sharingan in their too i have no idea, outside of his body not being compatible with the sharingan and ofc the sharingan and rinnegan being 2 separate jutsus and madara leading kabuto to believe the sharingan is the way or at least the only way to achievement rinnegan.

Judging from Kakashi, a non-Uchiha that uses Uchiha eyes will consume a shitload of chakra, but the Uzumaki clan is known for having huge amounts of it.

Naruto only had tons of chakra because of his Jinchuriki. Nagato is overpowered so he automatically has tons of chakra. Minato did not start out as a Uzumaki but he had alot of chakra but not a huge amount. It all depends on the character.

In the manga, it is written that the Uzumaki clan are known for their huge amount of chakra.

naruto has a vast amount of chakara , in part 1 the fox chakara slowly mixed in with his making it bigger but naruto had is own huge supply, thats why he was able to learn sage mode cause you need a shit ton of chakara to manage the nature chakara
