Dude madara never fought the 4th hokage what the hell are you going on about ? all right im a litte bored and apparently you dont pay attention to the manga i will throw this up as a list

1. This current flash back of obito meeting madara happened on the same exact day obito gave his eye to kakashi the day we all thought obito died this happend during the kakashi gaiden arc

2. Roughly one year after this event above a mask person attacked the 4th, this masked person went by a few names, Madara, Tobi , but in reality this masked man was Obito, Madara never attacked the 4th Narutos birth and the leaf attack by a masked man happened after obito met madara in the cave ok ?

3. In the current meeting of obito and madara, Madara says " i gave my eyes away" and he also says " if i leave this statue i will die" sooo do you think a 100 year old or so madara really attacked the 4th?

4. When kabuto summoned madara via Edo, First thing out of madaras mouth was, " Boy that nagato has grown" So we have confirmed information that madara knows nagato and that nagato has the power to bring the dead back to life i.e the rinnigian

5. and just to clear up any more confusion, The reason why the Edo madara was summoned in his prime and not all old like we currently see him in the flash back is beacause kabuto did work on the body, Madara even goes as far to say something like " To revive me in this state" he was impressed with kabuto's skill , kabuto even gave madara the 1st power the tree release

6. Madara says his self he is disappointed that he was revived via the edo he assumed he was revived via the outer path at first via nagato

7. Also a little math to prove the attack on the 4th happened after obito meet madara, Kakashi was 13 when he was promoted to jonin, and we can see in the kakashi gaiden arc the same arc were we assumed obito died the team was giving kakashi gifts for his promotion, So kakashi is 13 in this current flash back

8 The attack on the leave happened on the day naruto was born, We meet kakashi as team 7 leader at age 26 naruto is 12 , 26-12= 14 So the attack on the leaf and the 4th happened one year roughly after kakashi gaiden arc when kakashi was 14 " after obito met madara in the cave"

and i dont think any one really assumed madara was immortal ? it was strongly suggested and speculated years ago that the mask man was not madara implying madara was truly dead but he did not die at the hands of the 1st



p.s if you have any more misunderstanding about this manga i can walk you threw them i dont pretend i know everything but i do know a great deal i have a pretty above average memory

TotallyDelicious summed it up pretty nicely, but I'll reinforce his point.

Madara never fought Minato. He awakened his Rinnegan shortly after his fight with Hashirama. OBITO, the masked man, was the one that fought Minato.

Despite me having that bad brain fart when I first pondered the new chapter, I along with many others speculated that Nagato's rinnegan was Madara's rinnegan. That fact was pretty much confirmed in this chapter. They haven't said it outright, but really, where else could those eyes have gone? Hell, Madara knows Nagato as he expected to be revived with the rinne tensei. Was that connection not blatantly obvious to everyone?

And wait wait wait....who speculated that Madara was immortal? Did those said people forget the fact that, oh, I don't know...HE WAD DEAD?!?!!?
