I used a japanese word, that is commonly used in anime... it should have been a cinch to identify, Unless your watching it dubbed ..Ew..
I can tell you like to argue, and so far your not doing to badly. You obviously care enough to type out your thoughts in total. And your spelling and grammar are not poor either.
But you are missing a crucial element, Knowing what your arguing. which ... sadly is a large part of the battle.
On a side note, do you only watch bleach ? I'm not trying to cut you down, I have a genuine like for anyone that enjoys anime.
So I'm asking for recommendation sake.
well, u got me. Figured it was a japanese word, and since i only watch bleach in japanese, i figured i would have seen it by now. However, i do not speak japanese, so i rely on the subtitles to tell me whats going on, so im not able to pay as much attention to what the actors r saying to catch it.
for recomendation purposes ill tell u what i watch at the risk of being flamed.
anime ive watched all of: Basilisk (loved it) dbz (yeah i know)
Anime ive watched some of, but was too formulaic so i stopped: fate/stay night (gonna get ripped for that) Naruto (too many similarities between this and dbz IMO)
ive watched a lil claymore, some hellsing, and a couple whos names i dont remember
I mostly watch bleach and ill tell u why. The supporting cast actually does cool stuff! The only turn-off with naruto for me is all the similarities between goku/naruto and vegeta/sasuke. I still check it out periodically as i still am interested in how it ends.
I loved the old highlander movies, and thats what bleach reminds me of, immortal swordsmen battling to the death. And unlike dbz, chad, ishida, innoe, u name it, they all get to win fights every now and then! Its not "oh, no, nobody can beat this guy but ichigo, i better lay here and cry till he gets here."
A lot of anime follows the dbz formula of a central character that wins all the battles. THe supporting chars might get involved, but they inevitably lose and the main has to step up and save the day. Its cool at first, but after awhile i want vegeta to kill broly or something y'know?
most anime dont take it to this extreme everytime, but after watching like 400 episodes of dbz u never want to see it again. And i know, ichigo does do the whole goku thing in this show as well. I guess hes just more interesting than kakarot so i forgive him for it.
In naruto's defense, naruto doesnt ALWAYS go demon and save the day, sometimes he loses, like when he fought sasuke (which i thought was awesome, it was vegeta finally beating goku even after he went ss3) But, they both do always get beat to near death b4 getting raged and going demon/ss and whooping ass.
And this is a lot of anime, i know. And i know bleach is very mainstream and thats why the "hardcore" anime people dont like it as much, but it has a nice, slowly eveolving story, and most important, it has zaraki kenpachi, an extremely interesting antihero/rival character.
Hope i havent spoke too much flora, id really like to see what u have to say. And im not pissed about the baka thing, i just figured i was being insulted in another language and didnt like it much.
