Oh the pill was poison? I wasn't aware of this, I thought the power was supposed to be too much or some shit.If that's the case, you're probably right. But Gai's been opening gates forever, who knows. He'll probably pull it off to give Tobi the dick, then maybe die afterwards.

im not 100% accurate and dont feel like doing research on butterfly boy but from what i understand the pill is un healthy for him but it allows him to unlock the wings,, this is why in the war he unlocks the wings with out the pill but ino is worried he might die and his pops says na dont worry he unlocked them with out the pill he has no risk of dieing

Kakashi would kill Gai in a deathmatch. It would probably be pretty close, but Kakashi is just too damned good.

A well timed kamui can basically cut you in half, since it took a part of deid's arm. Unless you're already fucked up like orochimaru or an edo, thats pretty much sure death.

Pretty much. And Kakashi has the 8 gates, too. Not that he would use them though. It's also worth noting that Kakashi is only just a hair under Gai in the speed and taijutsu departments, which are basically the only two advantages he would have. Gai does have more stamina but Kakashi has certainly come a long way in that department. He's shown to be able to use Kamui effectively several times in one battle now.

fact? kakashi explained the entire gate process i am pretty sure he knew how to topen them before and only watched lee with the sharingan prolly knowing that is the only way for him to keep up

yes kakashi opened the 1st gate to finish climbing the mountain but im pretty sure lee wasnt where he learned it seeing as how gai is his rival and even yamato knew of gais 7th gate attack so yeah not a fun fact but an assumption as was my explanation

there is no way kakashi's body can handle the rebound of the gates + kamui in an anti uchiha body not to mention for him to focus kamui when he had to be perfectly still to use it on a huge ass statue. which sorta makes me think distance is another issue as trhe 8tails had to lift him up and i believe when he missed on deidara is was due to him and deidara moving



hrm its heavily implied he will die but lee got a ninja death sentence after gaaras fight either way the purpose of 8 gates is to end the fight as has been all the gates gai has shown so far



where is your basis for this kakashi died to 1 pein while fighting 3 v 1 konohamaru beat 1 pain 2 vs 1. kakashi is in quite the pickle in an extended fight atm




so the situation is only a well timed kamui why cant it be a well timed morning or afternoon hrm every jutsu has a weakness. gai with his mancrush on kakashi should have thought of how ot defend against kamui



this is speculation he's opened the first. a hair under? in part 1 chuunin gai was already superior in speed and taijutsu whether they both have 5 in the databook its severely different. he's stopped a kunai sent naruto and failed at the statue and is rdy to 6feet under

if does have the gates he should go to the healing gate and turn it off. to use kamui along with high speed from the gates doesnt seem plausible for kakashi he's shown to be standing still when using kamui iirc

i am fairly certain before the mangas end 8 gates will be used by someone so after that i can definitely say without a doubt gai would beat kakashi. if kishi trolls and makes it fizzle i will slit!

Even with the 8 gates I'm positive that Kakashi would kill Gai if they fought to the death. Kakashi just has too many tools and displays a very high level of taijutsu and speed along with a vast improvement in stamina, which are the areas Gai excels in. They haven't stated anywhere in this series that Gai dominates Kakashi in close range fighting anyway. If anything, they've only made it known that Kakashi and Gai are on similar levels in that department. And what makes you think Gai would do any better vs Pain? He's basically strictly taijutsu. Pain would absolutely eat him alive. He'd be EASILY killed he had to go against the Yahiko body, much faster than Kakashi would. And I already mentioned this to you, if Kakashi was meant to die, he would be dead. Kishi could have killed ANYONE from the village at that time because they were all being resurrected anyway. He chose Kakashi because he's an important character whose death would shock the readers, which it did. I think Kakashi's long range prowess would be too much for Gai to handle. Yeah, he knows how to fight someone with a Sharingan without looking at their eyes but that doesn't change the fact that his opponent still has a Sharingan which is a bolstering advantage especially at close range. As Kakashi told Naruto when they were chasing Deidara, long ranged opponents are an absolute nightmare for close ranged fighters, which is the case in Kakashi vs Gai also.
