obito was never obito he was some body inside of obito's body from a small baby and he played the role of a loser child to not bring to much attention to his self and the bolder death was just a ploy,

and he gave kakashi his eye so that way he would still see into the leaf village by using some sort of chakara link a little like garas " 3rd eye of the sand" also zetsu can " record" real time situations just by viewing them, this could be something similar or the same jutsu so he could leave the village with out being noticed and do all tobi / world domination stuff , this person could be some one extremly old just body swapping, kinda like oro's tech or ino's tech to switch minds, this person can be say some one like Izuna Or even way older could go all the way back to being the elder son of the sage of 6 paths " i generally dont like thoerys that involve the older/ younger son's " but meh im just saying this dude could be any one


if this were the case then obito/ tobi being the final boss would make a lot of sense because the fucking time line just doesnt add up at all making obito = tobi unless there is some sort of body swap going on , there is no need to make a story turning obito bad from his kind hart nature to an evil final boss because the person inside of obitos body was evil and corrupted from the start, Hell Tobi could be this dudes real name and we have been thinking it was a false name, he just decided to stop pretending to be obito and become his self as tobi , Also tobi has been know to play roles and characters to deceive others before


And to be fair Kishi likes to take ideas from other mangas, this same sort of thing happened in FMA with Hoemhiem of Light
