Not implying that they're in unison or anything, but perhaps Rin will have something to do with both of their eyes coincidentally. She appeared to be very dear to Obito and Kakashi to some extent. I dunno, it just seems like the proper time for some deeper Kakashi information to come out. What better than the current situation that he happens to be fighting in; we just found out that his former weaker teammate is revealed to be the main antagonist of the story. What else does Kishi plan on waiting for before tying his loose ends together?

Now tobi is revealed my interests are now on black zetsu and his story.

I get the feeling there is going to be a big flashback of Obito consisting of the incident at Kanabi bridge and how exactly he got out of his ordeal. There is something I just thought of; maybe Obito DID die. If Madara was still alive and kicking at that time, which is very presumable, maybe he just got to Obito's corpse in time to use that Rinnegan path that Pain used to bring Konoha back. Then he warped him and convinced him that his motive was correct and blah blah evil Tobi etc.
