Na, he couldn't, he turned into gue and escaped, if he didn't want to capture ishida at first, ishida wouldnt have beat him

...Ishida even said "I missed a bit", and then the captain said "wow, if you hit me in the head i would have died" and he ran away : /

Cause he didn't use his full power... when you want to capture somebody, you don't kill them

thats why the capt had 2 go into bankai and run away?? Plus Ishida did get caught by Tousen
