So ive spent the past hour or so trying to learn mahjong

question:

There are currently 33? Chapters of akagi translated, but over 100+ released.... I get the idea that this series is neglected as someone told me.

So my question is....Did the anime get farther than the manga did? Or is the short 33 chapters of manga farther than the anime?

It did not go off track. Well I'll say without spoiling anything the anime series got "cut short" at the end.

Ten has no anime.
