Well the fight against Nagato and madara wasn't a big fight where naruto fought on his own...
The current fight right now with naruto +kyubi is an actually fight that naruto has to do himself to stop Tobi from achieving moons eye plan

the prophecy might be about someone else, naruto later will realized, that it wasnt mean for him but he will still try to do his best. Thats my prediction :)
