My external HD broke like 4 months ago. Lost all my anime. All my manga. My computer was on there backed up. It broke over nothing. I don't trust them.

best way to go is using a Flash memory external but finding something with a large capacity is kinda hard to come by at stores highest i seen are 64gb flash memory, but i'm sure there are bigger ones and there alot more safe since they don't got moving parts inside

i plan of getting a Flash Stick for backing up my Animation Project and Storyboards but i will also save them to comp and my external when i do backups. better to have 3 backups then 2 since files tend to go corrupt now and then and sometimes don't save right

Anyways, I don't have an ounce of artistic skill, but I'll help set the thing up this year if possible.

a 64 gb flash drive costs more than a 1tb external. Even if one only stored manga, most would need multiple 64s. Even considering fail rate on externals, it's more cost effective to buy an external.

How old was your external and what brand was it? Just curious.

About 2 years old I believe and it was iomega 1tb.

Actually, if you buy in bulk not preaged it's pretty cheap.
