I'm sure as the main antagonist with some sort of connection to Madara and access to both the Sharingan/Rinnegan, Tobi has a shitload of techniques he could use to fight. But Tobi is smart. He only uses the one that lets attacks phase right through him. He hasn't needed anything else until right now.

Well I don't think we've ever seen his eye while using that jutsu. But I could be wrong. Keep in mind that he had one eye covered before, and not for an explained reason. Obviously the eye socket worked since he has a rinnegan in it now. Maybe he was using the MS in that eye. It would explain the lack of sharingan eye shots in this latest fight. If he IS using the MS for that technique, its most likely eternal too, considering how often he uses it.
