doubt it, the author is already working on new project, for all we know he's already done the writing for Naruto and it's just the manga artist that's working on the drawing that is left in the team, with his supervision of course.

Same here. He's announced that the manga still has like a year and a half left on it, so unless he comes up with something good I think it's going to suck. A full arc based around killing Sasuke wouldn't be that bad imo.

A great endingish thing I could see would go like this.
Final Battle: (1 of 2 ways, idk why but I feel its going to be like this)
A: Naruto vs Orochimaru in Sasuke's body. As they finish talking (3 chapters long, prolly.. lol) Sasuke's conciousness overcomes Orochimaru's for a second and he asks Naruto to a) Help him or Kill him to free him of orochimaru
Either way will have Naruto's fight to beat Sasuke while still keeping him alive to find a way to release Orochimaru's control of him (extra: If Naruto succeeds and then as he tried to hug / high five / whatever Sasuke, Sasuke chidoris / stabs Naruto)
B: Naruto vs Sasuke, both fight until worn out and Orochimaru appears out of nowhere and takes over Sasuke's body.. then the whole "I must save him" (same as above) shit comes into play.
Bonus points if Naruto accidently kills Sasuke while trying to save him, Sasuke pokes him like Itachi poked him, and Naruto gets EMS
