No.. It wen't downhill after Cell imo.. its like.. Frieza, a space pirate who destroys everything he doesn't like and sells / conquors planets... amazing plot for a great series.
Cell: Goku's past mistake finally comes to haunt him (although farfetched that someone goku could rape as a child could create something an adult supersayain couldn't destroy) as a fusionesque saga of androids and a future being of ultimate form persues them as they hunt the Z fighters. Great story, especially where son surpasses father in a ultimate heartfelt and powerful fight (I loved how they exaggerated how cell jr.s were destroying the Z's and then gohan goes ss2 and fucking wipes them out in 1 hit.. still sends shivers down my spine at the badass)
Buu saga... two beings who have nothing to do with anything come to stop a being who has nothing to do with nothing that (just like cell) can miraculously regenerate every 5 seconds and never grows tired.. k? wheres the origionality.. lets not talk about the fact that when fighting cell they had to put a lot of force to blow a chunk of him off.. when they fought buu they would visably damage him with indentation from punches and every energy blast would disform him.. it went from a show of complete badassery to a show of jokes at how stupid they could make characters... and don't get me started on GT's dumb story line.. shameful after cell saga... unorigional ect.
