soo finding out that danzou alone basically persuaded itachi to kill all uchiha or that shisui too died trying to stop it also danzou for some reason wanted all uchiha dead instead of having them alive and just under shisuis eye power hrm that can be used later down the line something like the uchiha on danzous team is tobi or is the reason danzou has some ill will towards uchihas etc etc
anywho w/e you contradicted yourself already so lets leave it at that

secondly he already puit his belief in naruto to stop sasuke so thats enough technically if you truly believe in someone
thirdly what he had to do to protect the village from immediate danger was stop the edo tensei which unofrtunately also stopped himself so yeah logically speaking it being a manga
