well he only retains that rank because of his ability. But yeah, we will wait to see #10s ability. He could have beaten rukia if he wasn't busy screwin around. Rukia got the luckiest shot in the world. She made up the third dance on the spot to get a cheap shot >_<

If you follow the storyline, she would've had to win anyway, or it wouldn't really be right cause she had to get revenge, and Yamis ability i'm pretty sure is to suck out peoples souls who cant even sense reitsu, anyone who can sense even a little reitsu can resist it

I doubt that ability is enough to keep him in espada if hes ultra weak. Its not like it has any good in combat since anybody can resist it if they're even strong enough to see him.

he soon became a vasto lorde by eating more adjuchas etc... plus that episode where d roy and stuff said they would serve under him etc since he didn't eat t hem... so they prolly gathered up hollows for him to eat etc..
not to mention when you see him release his sword, he regressed back to his original form... this form was completely human like which would only mean he had to be a vasto lorde considering they're the only human like hollows. next to arrancars.

we can answer it ourselves based on their looks in resurrected form

yami could be a vasto, you don't know the answer to that for sure unless they said it somewhere that i missed

well every arancar besides a few keep human ish forms when they transformed. The on hitsugaya fought kept his human form, but he got some extra bone limbs and stuff. All 3 priviron espada kept human forms when they transformed.

EDIT: Vast Lord. The japanese pronounce it vasuto lorodo because their letters don't allow for the word vast. Only va su to lo ro do.

the priviron espadas were old espadas, my guess is they transformed from aizen using the hogkyou w/e thing when it wasn't at full strength or something.

are you talking about luppi who fought with hitsugaya?

um... so far the majority of the arrancars we saw haven't kept humanish forms... only the espada class/privirons are the ones who have kept human forms.
