is it because they only have resurrection? whereas shinigami's have shikai and bankai?
There's only 1 possible vaste lord in there that we know off, and the only time i saw ichigo struggle with a menos was the first time he faced it, used to much reitsu and almost destroyed zangetsu.
+ 1 Vaste lord has the power of kenpachi or genryuusai and probaly even stronger, and there's only one possible one, all the other arrancar are from Menos Grande or w/e the second form of hollows is called. Since their regular hollow form wasn't as strong as some of the stronger captains, when they transformed, they became as strong as them.
+ not all of them are weak, Ulquirria stopped vizard ichigo's getsu tangetsu with 2 hands, i think rank 5 and up are the actual really strong ones, and the others are like hitsugayas level or so.
