Father or Dad there pretty much the same. And also if you Factor in age i would think that Amaimon was raised with the Sense that Satan was King shit was most likely trained and was fairly close to Satan but i don't see him as Satans son.
I think that Calling him father was maybe a Sign of respect for Demons from there world, Much like how ppl Refer to GOD as the Father the demons might Refer to Satan as thiers.

Also i can't really remember but i will point out 2 characteristics that Rin has ( Blue Flame, Those Red/Blue eyes ) like i said i can't remember back to the beginning eps so i might watch them again to confirm but when Satan Possessed Rin's Step father he was Shrouded in Blue flames and i think i seen the Same Blue/Red eyes as well that points out similar characteristics between them but when you look a the other so called sons so far they Don't show either of those which is what leaves me to believe there not related by blood.

i would assume it would be similar to how Jesus was born, Or maybe Shiro was possessed by Satan (Since he was the only one able to sustain Satan at the time) when he was doing the deed and passed his seed but that would still be kinda messed up cause isn't Rin and Yukio Twins? that's why Yukio does Testing and shit to see if Satans power is inside him as well.
