Itachi was trying to prove to sasuke that even blind, and clearly at the end of his rope, itachi was and will always be better than him, hence the poke to the head, just like when they were kids....
thats why he used his last strength to poke sasuke in the head, rather than rip his eyes out.
Sasuke looked pretty scared when itachi kept on coming.
Sasuke survived, but to call it a win is misguided.

Itachi could have easily kick his ass IF he wanted to
maybe all that time there is a different reason why he wanted Sasuke to fight him
at the start of manga - anime there was a theory that it wasnt Itachi that killed his clan
and that he wanted Sasuke to become stronger so he made him hate Itachi
now that Sasuke is strong Itachi tested him both Strenght and Prowess and Skills or he just wanna help Sasuke get Orochimaru out of him
and then Sasuke can revebge for the clan?
cuz the current Sasuke is bad ass enough but imagine him with a MS

yeah Tobi copuld be Obito or Madara or Madara or there is 2 of them in the same costume
we havent heard the voice of the Tobi that scolded Pein and Konan it could be more heavier and scariar than the Tobi we heard in anime which sounded goofy going
or Madara hasnt showed up yet, who knows?

Itachi wasnt 5 - 6 when he killed his clan lolz he was 16!
Sasuke would still be a baby or hasnt born then
and no he wasnt being manipulated
he was studying his clan history and hated the fact that his clan is scared of the capabilities of gaining MS
he wanted out of the clan for his own reason
his dad always tells him what to do
I reckon Itachi didnt know abouit going blind when he gianed MS
only after he joined Akatsuki that he's experiencing it
and that's when Madara told him? who knows...
