unless he planned to die. all we know about the rinnegan is that madara awoke it right before he died, and tobi claims to have given nagato the rinnegan. madara knew how to awaken the rinnegan since he read the tablets so maybe he planned the whole thing. also he doesnt seem surprised to be "alive" again, just surprised that its in the way that kabuto did it

the madara which is beating the 5 kages atm is the madara with 1st abilities or fused some crap idk what he was trying to explain at the end i just recall him saying who could beat madara and 1st hokage combined

basicly saying when madara was fighting the 1st he didnt have 1st abilities and chakra like he does now (and maybe not rinnegan)

the madara fighting the kages atm is madara with 1st abilities and chakra or fused idk wat he was getting at and rinnegan
