Huh? The main character has clearly shown an interest in the childhood friend many, many times throughout the manga, and she has clearly shown an interest towards him as well. Not to mention there was already a random chapter that showed Kuro liking some other boxer guy.

Eh, main character is a bastard, in general he's oblivious to her liking him, but yeh, his friend wants him. As for Kuro, it seems to be taking a deeper turn in the last few chapters, notably the supermarket scene. Competition is starting up.
