Same here. Makes the Zetsu-related identity seem a little bit more reassured. He took a lot of damage from that Rasengan causing him to retreat from battle and...melt. Maybe it IS Zetsu-related and Tobi can't take a certain amount of damage which is why he relies on his intangibility jutsu so much.

anime =/= manga

Manga = anime in basically all cases. Bottom center. And if you look on the page after that, his hand has clearly dripped away and is barely hanging on.
