probably only because i fear losing the security i've built here
i dont have anyone who will help me anymore if i run into trouble. i gotta keep working to survive

even if wanted to (and tbh it doesn't sound bad) i would have to go and find work there before i could commit and that means spending a lot of money to miss out on work, go up there to MAYBE find work (without citizenship or work visa), then find living arrangements (available to non citizens), spend probably every last penny of my savings in the move and then if whatever work i found doesn't work i have no backup plan or family to help bail me out of trouble

Its actually surprisingly easy to get citizenship in Canada. We have free health care so nn worry about 2k bill if you break your leg or some shit. + If you work for a temp agency, theres always work available.

how familiar are you with the process of becoming a citizen? in america it takes years and work visa's are expensive if the company doesn't pay for it and very tough to get if the job isn't one that pays well
