The hollow only started taking over after he got bankai. Every time he was about to die before that, he always just got a huge burst of power. It's the same thing, the only difference is that before, ichigo stayed in control, and old man zangetsu appeared instead of the hollow ichigo.

that's just a resolve... everyone has it.

plus, that still doesn't rule out the power of bankai....bankai makes a person 1000000000x times stronger... take the fight with kariya for example.. ichigo was getting raped senseless in shikai form, like no hope was there.. but as soon as he went bankai.. kariya couldn't touch him and ichigo was raping kariya senseless.

5-10x stronger

and the bount arc has nothing to do with this thread. This is the manga discussion. Ichigo is a panzy during filler arcs, so I don't use them for reference on this kind of topic.

No, Ichigo is the main character! He's invincible!!!

Vizard is 10x stronger than that burst of energy.
1. It's random, he can't control it.
2. Zangetsu got taken ovver by his hollow.
3. No getsuga tenshou.

Ichigo is the main character, that was the ONLY reason he survived his fight with zaraki. If they had actually made it a legitimate fight, kenpachi would have pwned him.
