itachi gave much of his power away to naruto before the fight, and even Zetsu was saying something was wrong with itachi, he threw the whole fight he was just fucking around with sasuke trying to draw out ochi to completely release him from sasukes body, and to do that he had to make sasuke use up all his chakra completely.
sasuke is a skilled ninja and he has worked hard to get where he is but he is a medicore among uchiha standers and was just given most of the power that makes him gfg, naruto mastered nature manipulation chakra in one day it took sasuke 3 days to do the first step with using his shargian, so he was able to see the chakra flow and see how it works but still took 3 days
