both are bad

it's not just the art style, it's also the weird 3d+2d mixture of animation. They break simple film rules (that also apply to animation work)

This video is a very good criticism overall, it's worth watching in its entirety. BUT, skip to about 3:03 to get where I'm talking about with film rules. I have a feeling most people who are turned off by the animation actually mean what he shows/explains from the first episode.

but the 2d+3d mix is whats awesome!
it's when it goes from hand drawn to some game cut scene cgi that pisses me off

hm that video was good until it started talking about the bar scene and 180 rule camera movement etc which applies so much less with dynamic animated stuff

meh i guess it's just subjective at the end of the day because it looks fucking good to me
