i suppose they had to massively overpower someone weak in order for things to stay balanced.

if Luffy had gotten two fruits... in a couple years he would have been unstoppable, especially if his second was a logia type.

I wouldn't want luffy to be a logia.

I like how he's an underdog. Gomu gomu no mi fits him well, logia is a fruit for people who need to boost their ego's.

hehe, well it would also depend on what fruit he got aswell.
like, say he got the lightning one (even though enel already has it)
he could make attacks like the one he used to beat lion in strong world... that was a monstrous attack.

meh, you seem to think fruit powers are the end all answer to everything, But luffy posses the Kings Haki only 1 in a million people have this, id much rather have this then a logia type

Haki > devil fruit powers any day of the week, look at some of the most bad ass people, Shanks , Gaarp, Silvers Rayleigh, all are top notch best of the best in there prime and own right but dont posses fruit powers,

i enjoy luffy having a unique fruit power that isnt over powered.

i really, REALLY wish i could.
but im not a fan of that type of stuff, i may be able to for certain series... but for one piece, ide never be able to.

i may try out manga eventually, but for now ill stick with anime.

it may turn out to be like dub/sub.
when i first started watching anime i would only watch dubbed stuff, when i ran out of shows to watch i switched over... and never went back. (of course there are a select few that i still prefer dubbed)
