you'd have to watch episodes and look at the manga pages simultaneously to understand

small example, during the exam in the trick tower, hisoka found a prisoner and fought him and cut his head off. Anime = we see a shadow of guys head cut off, end scene. Manga, we see severed head lying bloody on floor.

And several other things. Like during the heavens arena, when hisoka had his arms cut off, the anime had like black/silver colors hiding the blood/gore, but in the manga you see the dangling ligaments etc.

oo so anime didnt show explicit parts

just started watching the show and was impressed with quality etc but what is what the whole "trying to stay more true to the manga" deal when in fact they completely skipped over kite at the start.

Also, the severe lack of gore compared to the manga makes me T.T

Them skipping Kite at the start and the beginning of Chimera Ant Arc are really disappointing in the anime for me

Everything else they did a pretty good job

Oh man, I almost cried at that Reina Part.
And I'm going to laughing at Gin soon.

Given how much I enjoyed it, I had to go back and read the episode 131 reactions earlier in this thread.

1 page of praise to madhouse, 3 pages of arguments about Pitou's gender.

If nothing else, I guess it perfectly sums up the HxH fandom.

yeah that annoyed the piss out of me. How can they call it the 'more true to manga version' anime and leave that out. Maybe the author had regrets about kite or something.

I haven't watched it since the ep came out, but I had the impression that they wanted to end the first episode in a good spot and decided to skip it knowing they could show it after Greed Island. First ep showed great pacing by doing 3 eps in 1 but they barely couldn't fit the kite part.

Don't worry I was heavily pissed off when they changed the flashback and I still am pretty pissed off but they more than made up for it for the perfect job they did in some of my favorite parts of the Chimera Ant Arc.

yeah, I've watched up to yorknew. Animation is pretty damn good and everything else is pretty good so I can't complain too much.

Don't see how the amount of gore matters. They don't hold back very much, and sometimes things work better in an anime when done in a slightly different way.

Even though I had read it, I cried a little at the Reina scene. And I felt the emotion from Killua so clearly it made me tingle. I think that's one of the strongest aspects of HxH. Most anime suffer from unrealistic, poorly done character relationships. The relationship between Killua and Gon is for the most part flawless.

im saying theres no proof

and if they make gon the strongest nen user then it's the same as every corny anime

he didnt do it in yu-yu-hakusho

he wont do it in hunter

psh yuuske barely lost that fight and he had a huge handicap
either way call him the "second" strongest in existence if you want... to a demon a thousand years old at only 20

and for the record theres no effin way in hell that hisoka even held a candle to netero
and maha (killuas grandpa's grandpa)... maybe in the past but he obviously didnt have what it took to kill netero... and he obviously didnt age as well

this is nothing more than speculation

if its speculation its the speculation of the narator
idk might have been a spoiler
