Shanks is extremely aggressive when he knows to be. The first person to die in the series was by Shanks's orders. "When you pull a weapon, you better be prepared to use it".



There's no doubt that I like the anime more than the manga.

But, that doesn't mean I discount or don't appreciate the manga in the slightest.

I'm happy to have both.



Something else we should consider. Shanks is young, and in his prime. Therefore he is among the 4 emperors. Whitebeard is extremely old and lost his touch a little bit. Plus due to sheer age he's bound to resign eventually. So perhaps, whitebeard in his prime > Shanks currently.

It's strictly conjecture, but it's something worth thinking about. After all, whitebeard was second only to gol d. roger.

I just re-watched whitebeard demolishing sakazuki again.

So awesome. I feel like the entire war we weren't being shown how truly badass of a fighter whitebeard once was. Just flinging peons around and softball fighting. As if the admirals and whitebeard were teasing each other and waiting for someone to make the first actual move.

I kinda feel like him being infuriated and smashing on sakazuki was a brief look in a window into the past on how ridiculous he used to be.

(Ridiculous in a good way)

And it was awesome.

Well in about 1 week time I've already made it to episode 196 of the One Piece series (strictly watching english dubs). Suprisingly enough... There aren't any more dubbed episodes atm... So I was wondering if anyone else knows when they plan on releasing the dubbed episodes : | Or like link me to a site or something ya know? haha

I love this Anime and love it 10x more in English... : (

Yeah. I'd probably rate dubbed OP one a level or two above the average dubbed kung fu movie.
