yes of course but since his hair changed to white
there are so many possibilities which you can assume

like, did he become another person
has he 2 personalities
did the girl within kaneki evolve into another person in guy form
is he super sayajin
etc

None of those I'm not ruining it for others who didn't read but that should be towards the 8th episode seeing how fast theyre rushing everything

makes me kind of happy
so far there wasn't much action at all
they're still on this blue haired guy since 3 episodes and it turns to be out that they were friends before or knew each other
i'd like kaneki to face unknown-strong-ghouls and rip them all apart or turn into a super sayajin

Just a description I wanted to put out there if you're wondering why he's so weird

He doesn't really show up this early in the manga

But him showing up explains why the dad got caught which the manga had a different way of reasoning I like the anime' reasoning better
